A certificate of attendance will be provided at the end of the meeting if requested.

The accreditation will be requested.

Commercial Exhibition

There will be an exhibition by companies involved in hyperthermia or related areas, in close proximity to the lecture rooms. Interested companies active in the field of hyperthermia or thermal ablation are invited to participate as exhibitors. Please contact the Organizing Secretariat for more information and to receive an Industry Prospectus.

Social Program

A welcome reception will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011. There will also be a conference dinner on Friday, May 27, 2011. Dinner Contribution: € 50.00 per person.


Aarhus is an historical city with a number of tourist attractions. Thus, various tours can be arranged for accompanying persons during the meeting. A walking tour of Aarhus can also be arranged for the Saturday afternoon after the meeting for all interested participants.

Pre-Conference Educational Day

An educational day will be scheduled on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. It will be held in Aarhus either at the Helnan Marselis Hotel or at Aarhus University (registrants will be notified later). The educational day will contain a full day of invited lectures dedicated to the topic of “New insights into the biological aspects of hyperthermia”, and will include talks on DNA damage/repair, thermosensitive nanomedicine, immunological and pathophysiological affects, and HIFU. The target group will be any persons interesting in understanding more about the biological effects of hyperthermia and how that can be utilized for therapeutic purposes.

The 20th European BSD Users Conference will take place on Friday, May 27, 2011.
