Capacitive Hyperthermia Working Group

The Capacitive Hyperthermia Working Group of the European Society for Hyperthermic Oncology (ESHO) brings together experts from clinical oncology, physics, engineering, and biology to
advance understanding and best practices in capacitive hyperthermia.
The group’s aim is to objectively evaluate the clinical evidence, technical aspects, and biological mechanisms of capacitive hyperthermia. This includes:

  • Reviewing and interpreting clinical data on its use in cancer therapy
  • Promoting standards for quality assurance and treatment planning
  • Investigating both temperature-related and potential non-thermal biological effects

Through collaboration and open exchange across disciplines, the working group seeks to ensure the safe, effective, and evidence-based use of capacitive hyperthermia in oncology.
