WC2009 Medical Physics and Biomedical Munich, Germany, September 7-12, 2009 Dear Friends, I would like to ask your attention for the WC2009 Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering which will be held in Munich, Germany September 7-12 2009. This congress is a good opportunity to bring the progress in hyperthermia to the attention of a large group of persons involved in health care and research outside the regular field of oncology and our hyperthermia community. Already Peter Wust and I have accepted to organize two sessions on hyperthermia. With these sessions we will send out the message that addition of hyperthermia is evidence based and that progress in technology and controlled delivery, i.e. QA, has been enormous over the last 10 years. The titles of these sessions are: I. Hyperthermia in Cancer Treatment: current applications II. Hyperthermia in Cancer Treatment: future applications (105 min) To make these session a success it would be great if many contributions from the hyperthermia field are available. Therefore, I would like to encourage all our members active in medical physics and biomedical engineering concerning hyperthermia to submit an abstract to this congress. The deadline for abstract submission is February 22nd 2009.
