Lung cancer respectively bronchial carcinoma

In case of a localized tumor (growing locally in a limited way without distant metastases), an operation and radiotherapy are applied. However, the bronchial carcinoma is an aggressive tumor which sometimes metastasizes quickly, i.e. produces distant metastases. In case of distant metastases, chemotherapy is applied, which can additionally be combined with a whole-body hyperthermia in order to increase the impact (WBHT- bronchial carcinoma).

Such a therapy, however, requires a sufficient general condition of the patient.
